After Rob and Michele Singer Reiner were discovered dead in their Los Angeles home, their son was taken into custody and charged with murder. Nick Reiner, 32, was detained without being granted bail, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday.
According to sources who spoke with CBS News, the BBC’s US partner, Romy, the 28-year-old daughter of the slain couple, discovered her parents at their house on Sunday with several stab wounds.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, two individuals were declared deceased at the scene. They were subsequently identified as Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele, 68. Nick Reiner was taken into custody some hours later, on Sunday at around 21:15 local time, according to police. Investigators have stated that the inquiry is still ongoing and have not disclosed a motive.
